Casting on...

Finally, I shall attempt to put this blog to use.

I am currently free-handing a crocheted purse out of Noro Silk Garden. I've got an idea of what I want; the hard part is getting my idea into fiber form. It's going to be a little tote, round bottom, with one short handle, and one longer handle that will go through the short handle to close. It's a simple stitch - on every other row, every other stitch is an extended HDC. Kind of plays up the color changes. It's taken two frogged attempts to get to this stage.

I'm currently working on the straps, and not liking how they're turning out. I've seen a couple of other patterns out there, but I don't like how they're shaped. GRR! I'm about to give up and just frog the whole thing and be done with it.

I also have a tote I'm knitting, to be felted. Two colors of blue, Debbie Bliss Merino. It's striped, and I'm trying to decide how to cast off, then I need to make the handles and wash it.

I have too many WIPs, and not enough patience to see them through, I think.
